Yay Winnie!

Last night I took Winnie to a Stock Horse Challenge hosted by Rimoe Ranch (www.rimoeranch.com). We placed 7th out of 15 with a score of 130.5. I was just happy that we got a score, since Winnie is just a baby two year old and I simply wanted to take her for the experience. Our reined work went pretty well, we even +1/2 a stop. For the fence work we got a fast cow, and we got a bit behind, but overall I am very happy with her performance. Yay Winnie!

News

Hello!

It has been a long time since I've updated anything!

The new farm is doing great. Our new website is http://slidingslranch.com, please visit!

For the exciting stuff-my business partner Becky bought a new stud, Seven S Gunpoint. He is by AQHA Super Horse Real Gun and out of a Smart Chic Olena mare. We had him for all of two weeks when we entered him in my first NRHA show-a Green As Grass Class in Hastings, MN last weekend. He stayed super quiet throughout the whole show, and we had a great time. It was nice for me to get back into the reining pen, as I haven't shown a reiner since I showed palomino horses as a youth.

If you are interested in breeding to "Gunner" please contact Becky at 715-307-2477. For a limited time his stud fee is only $500. I'll post photos later.

Mustang Break...Kinda

I'm taking a break from the Mustangs today...because my Clinton Anderson Starting Colts DVD came in!

I guess that it technically isn't a mustang break, because the videos are of Clinton starting a wild BLM mustang...and I've been taking notes too. However, I am enjoying being curled up on the couch with my dog and some popcorn!

I will probably still go out an play with the Mustangs later tonight. That's the joy of living on a horse farm with a lighted indoor arena! I just wish it was warmer, it was -2 before windchill again this morning. Yuck!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
